Aside from the professional issues revolving around Golds, he seems to have some personal conflicts.
During law school, he had a very close friend, Chad Ropes, who graduated slightly ahead of Golds from Pepperdine University in 2000. Some called them inseparable buddies.
After graduation and admission to the Bar, Golds and Ropes worked in the office of Harper & Associates (Tamara Harper, Esq.).
Later, the firm of “Golds & Ropes” in Agoura Hills (Findlaw Lawyer Directory) for reasons unknown, was dissolved. Chad Ropes opened his own office, while remaining available for referrals from Harper & Associates.
The breakup of a partnership in and of itself is not unusual but one must ask what would cause it as between two men who have been continuing friends through and past graduation from law school. Possibly the next incident is telling.
Mr. Golds is married and has a young daughter, but this didn’t seem to stop him from sending a very suggestive “love” note to a man he had never personally met.
The man is unmarried, a professional, about the same age as Golds and a bodybuilder. His girlfriends have classified him as a “hunk.”
On the outside of the envelope Golds sent, was written in Golds handwriting, “I (heart, meaning “love”) you (man’s name).”
On the inside was another note in Golds handwriting which contained a personal note (not appropriate to quote here) and another hand drawn heart with an arrow through it (Valentine Day style) and a penis, also hand drawn by Golds.
The male recipient of the note from Mr. Golds was quite displeased but having known of Mr. Golds through other sources, shrugged it off, but not before contacting someone who knows Mr. Golds and saying Mr. Golds should be told in no uncertain terms, to cease and desist any further communication with him.
